Filing a Claim

Our statewide network of claims professionals has
worked to establish and maintain an excellent reputation for customer
service. We use current construction databases to ensure accurate pricing
for repairs and replacement costs. We also use a variety of other pricing
data, including those from major retailers for the proper evaluation and
payment of personal property and electronic equipment claims.
Water Damage Claims and Restoration
A large percentage of claims result from the accidental
and sudden discharge of water. The source of the water may be from leaking
plumbing or such things as overflowing dishwashers, refrigerators, washing
machines or other appliances.
As a service to you, Royal Palm has identified
companies in your area that will remove the water and dry-out your home. These
companies have agreed to respond to your needs within two hours of being notified.
These services are available 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week, including holidays.
When you report your claim to our claim center, our customer service representative
will provide you with the name and telephone number of one of these water extraction
companies.
If you experience this kind of water damage, please do
these three things immediately:
- Shut off the water
- Report the claim
- Contact a company to remove the water
You may shut off the water at the location of the leak:
the sink, the toilet, the appliance, or where the water comes into your house.
You may contact the company whose name we have provided or one that you choose.
Removing the water quickly may reduce the amount of overall
damage and make it possible to remain in your home. Contacting the company
that we have provided will bring an immediate response from one of the most
qualified water removal companies in your area. If your claim is covered, the
companies on our list will not ask you for up front payment for services. Since
your deductible would apply, you may be required to make payment at a later
date up to your deductible amount.
